Buckley Garden of Remembrance The garden and war memorial, originally dedicated to those who fell in the World Wars I and II, were dedicated on 9th September 1951 by the Lord Bishop of St. Asaph. It was unveiled by The Right Hon. Lord Kenyon, DL, JP. A salute was taken by Brig. H.S.K. Mainwaring, CB, BE, DSO, JP, Lord Lieutenant of Flintshire. The Band of the 4th Btn. The Royal Welch Fusiliers (T.A.) was in attendance. In April 2020, the memorial and surround were completely refurbished, with the addition of 36 names. The memorial now commemorates 139 men from WWI, 62 men and one woman from WWII, and one each from wars in Waziristan and Iraq.
